Beiersdorf has published its preliminary, unaudited results for fiscal 2018. The German manufacturer of Nivea saw group sales rise 5.4 percent over the 12-month period, or 2.5 percent in nominal terms, from €7.056 billion to €7.233 billion.
Organic sales in the Consumer business segment rose 5 percent (1.6 percent nominal) to €5.890 billion, with Nivea, Eucerin, Aquaphor and La Prairie all playing their part in the increase.
“2018 was a solid year for Beiersdorf. We continued our growth path and achieved our targets. Both business segments – Consumer and tesa – contributed to the result of the business in 2018. On this foundation, we will take further strategic steps in 2019 to unlock Beiersdorf’s future potential and to be able to further deliver a sustainable growth,” said Stefan De Loecker, Beiersdorf CEO.
