Alpha Packaging doubles production capacity with Graham Packaging plant acquisition

Personal care packaging manufacturer Alpha Packaging has announced the acquisition of a Netherlands-based blow molding plant from Graham Packaging Co.

The facility, located near Alpha Packaging’s existing Roosendaal’s plant, is said to boost the company’s foothold within the European market.

Jeffrey Kellar, Alpha President and CEO, said, “The acquisition more than doubles our production capacity on the continent, making Alpha one of the largest single-stage blowmolding operations in Europe. The addition of the operation in Etten-Leur significantly expands our capabilities in this geography and supports future European growth.”

The new acquisition site, based in Etten-Leur, is said to have achieved the grade AA certification for the BRC-IoP global standard for packaging and packaging materials, and will expand on Alpha’s 10 manufacturing sites – eight of which are located in the US.
