AmorePacific donates KRW190 million to save endangered plants

AmorePacific has signed a sponsorship deal with Taean-gun-based Cheollipo Arboretum in a bid to save endangered plants. The South Korean cosmetics giant will donate KRW190 million over a two-year period to the conservation institution.

Cheollipo will channel the funds into a new greenhouse for the propagation and preservation of endangered plants. The money will also go towards supporting technology development for natural habitat restoration.

AmorePacific also plans to pen a book in conjunction with Cheollipo on biological diversity conservation, spanning 15,600 different plant species from 60 countries worldwide as well as a tome dedicated to the 600 different species of magnolia.
