THE WHAT? Amorepacific is implementing companywide energy conservation measures across its operations.
THE DETAILS The company will introduce a five-day vehicle rotation system, requiring employees to refrain from using their cars one weekday based on license plate numbers, with exemptions for electric vehicles and certain groups. It will also adjust energy usage across offices by increasing air conditioning temperatures, lowering heating, reducing lighting hours and limiting hot water use during summer. Business travel will be significantly reduced, with overseas trips restricted to essential cases and greater reliance on virtual meetings, while domestic travel will also be minimised. Additionally, Amorepacific is encouraging employees to adopt everyday sustainability practices, including reducing food waste and limiting single-use products.
THE WHY? The initiative aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact and align with government sustainability guidelines while promoting a culture of responsible consumption across the organisation.
