Ahn Sae-hong has been named as the new Chief Executive of South Korean beauty company AmorePacific, moving up from his current role as Vice President of sub-brand Innisfree, according to a report by the Korea Herald.
The company also announced the appointment of Jessica Hanson to lead it’s US office. Hanson joins AmorePacific from her previous position as marketing head for L’Oréal and Sephora.
The management shake-up comes at a time when the company is aiming to change tact to keep up with the market, while also moving forward from some business uncertainty caused by the continued tensions between China and South Korean over the ongoing THAAD tensions, which are hitting sales of Korean products due to a fall in Chinese tourists.
