Hong Kong’s Watsons has opened its first store in Vietnam, according to a report published by Nikkei Asian Review.
The new Ho Chi Minh City store, which is situated within the Bitexco Financial Tower stocks more than 6,000 SKUs and boasts a make-up counter where shoppers can trial products and seek advice on application and selection.
“We are very excited about opening our first Watsons store in Vietnam. Watsons is looking forward to building long-term relationships with Vietnamese customers and helping them to look good and feel great,” Rod Routley, Regional Managing Director for Asia at AS Watson Group told Nikkei Asian Review.
Watson is targeting a portfolio of 50 stores across the country within the next five years, which would place it third behind Singaporean Guardian, with 70 stores, and local Medicare which operates 80 outlets.
