Avon appoints new China GM to turn its fortunes around

Having recently quashed rumors that it was set to exit the Chinese market, direct sales giant Avon has appointed a new General Manager to turn its fortunes around.

Asson Chang is Avon’s fourth General Manager for China in the space of five years and is charged with leading the ongoing growth of Avon’s China business.

Chang has worked in the FMCG industry for more than 20 years, counting L’Oréal, Unilever and Adidas among her former employers. She joins Avon from  Central Marketing Group, a Thai retailer and distributor, where she was the Country Manager for China.
