Avon looks to support menopausal women with new skincare system Adapt

THE WHAT? Avon is looking to support menopausal women with a new skincare system, Adapt, set to launch in the new year.

THE DETAILS Available from 1st January, 2021, the range has been designed specifically to support women through the hormonal effects of perimenopause and menopause.

According to a press release, “Each of the products features plant extracts, known as adaptogens, because of their unique ability to ‘adapt’ their function to the specific needs of the skin to help bring balance and overall wellbeing.”

Products include the Rescue Mist, Rescue Serum and the Dream Cream.

Gina Ghura, Head of Future Innovation at Avon, states: “We’ve been researching hormones and menopause at Avon for nearly two decades to help alleviate some of the common symptoms experienced in perimenopause and menopause: increased dryness, skin sensitivity, hot flushes and a significant loss of collagen.

THE WHY? The new range is set to target an under-represented target audience of menopausal women in skincare.

Ghura continued, “Our research has also demonstrated that, for many women, finding accessible and affordable products that support these specific skin needs is currently very challenging. We’re thrilled to be supporting all women through this transition with our new, innovative Adapt range.”
