THE WHAT? Avon has announced the opening of its new immersive experience centre, Studio 1886, based in Los Angeles, U.S.
THE DETAILS The 19,000 square foot space, which is named as a nod to the year the company was founded, has two floors and features a Make Up Bar, where consumers can try on products, while a new digital catalogue showcases AR products that users can try on virtually.
Open to both consumers and representatives, the store also has a skincare zone, as well as the Break and Lounge area where visitors can ‘spend some time networking and chatting about the latest beauty news while utilizing the best in class technology.’
Visitors can also access a community hub for learning and education, with Avon representatives having direct access to educators for skincare, color, and personal care.
THE WHY? Avon’s first bricks and mortar concept, the new centre gives a vote of confidence for high street retail and is a significant change in direction for the direct sales company.
