Industrial hemp biotech firm AXIM Biotechnologies is launching a cosmetics division to sell a new line of cannaboid-based skin care, hair care and oral care products.

Based in New York and the Netherlands, AXIM Biotechnologies has traditionally specialized in the research, development and production of cannaboid-based products to treat medical disorders such as spasticity, anxiety, and pain.  The company’s new hemp-oil derived cosmetics line is targeted at the daily use market and is suitable for the general population.

Industrial hemp contains non-psychoactive cannabinoids and essential amino-acids that AXIM claims are ideal as moisturizers, lubricants, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and rejuvenating agents.

The company has filed a patent covering the new cosmetics product line, named RENECANN™. The range will include anti-ageing day cream, anti-ageing night cream, hand and nail cream, eye cream, lip balm, baby diaper rash cream, anti-acne tonic, anti-acne cream, face wash, body wash, anti-dandruff shampoo and deodorant spray.
