BASF has announced that it will increase prices for pigments, dyes and preparations by 15 percent worldwide, effective immediately or as contracts allow.

The rise has been prompted both by higher raw material costs for pre-cursors of pigments and dyes, and increased costs for regulatory efforts such as registration, environmental, health and safety.  

The price increase will affect all market segments, predominantly the coatings, plastics and printing industries.
