BASF partners with China’s Ingredi

THE WHAT? BASF has announced an innovation partnership with Chinese start-up Ingredi, including a strategic equity investment.

THE DETAILS Ingredi brings its strong capabilities in identifying new personal care active ingredients from the natural plants found in the Himalaya area of China while BASF contributes its formulations expertise and global marketing know-how.

THE WHY? Through the equity investment, Ingredi will be able to extend its production facilities. Robert Parker, Director of New Business Development & Digital Officer, Care Chemicals at BASF, commented, “We are committed to deliver new innovative solutions to the personal care market, and to build an ecosystem of partners that can support our customers.
