Nivea parent company Beiersdorf is set to expand its open innovation activities as part of Pearlfinders.
Beiersdorf is expanding its collaboration with the global open innovation Network Innoget in a bid to seek out new technologies and is presenting its own innovation platform Trusted Network with its own profile on the Innoget portal, ‘where companies can make contacts in the scientific community and in industry in a confidential and protected environment.’
Pia Rücker, Senior Technology Manager in Beiersdorf’s Research & Development, said, “With the connection of the two portals, we are strengthening our network with external partners, especially in the areas of Life Science and Chemistry
“At the same time, we’re improving the visibility of our company as an innovative cooperation partner for other industries and for research institutes and universities.”
Beiersdorf has been using the internet platform Innoget for expanding its open innovation network since April 2014 and has since made successful calls in the segment ‘Technology Scouting’, which have regularly been made public using this platform.
Rücker continues, “With the connection of the two portals, we are strengthening our network with external partners, especially in the areas of Life Science and Chemistry.”
The new, closer, collaboration with Innoget will see Beiersdorf Research & Development ‘consciously focusing on scouting new technologies – also beyond cosmetics.’
