Beyoncé Set to Launch First New Fragrance in Nearly a Decade

THE WHAT?  After launching her North American Renaissance World Tour, Beyoncé returns to the fragrance industry. She is planning a new perfume, her first since 2014’s Rise.

THE DETAILS?  Beyoncé shared news of the upcoming perfume on July 19, though specific details remain limited. According to her website, the unnamed perfume will cost US$160 and be available only in the U.S. and Canada through Beyonce.com. Shipping starts in November, and every purchase includes an unspecified “special gift”. The perfume combines scent notes, including clementine, golden honey, and Namibian myrrh.

THE WHY? Beyoncé has a history of releasing successful perfumes, including Heat, Pulse, and Rise. Despite fans’ calls for Renaissance visuals, this new fragrance might find its own success. Her website suggests a possible link between the perfume and her Renaissance album, adding another layer of interest to the upcoming launch.
