THE WHAT? Bluemercury has announced that it will open up to 115 of its 170 stores for curbside collection services by the end of the month, according to a report published by WWD.
THE DETAILS The Macy’s-owned chain will start to open stores located in states where stay-at-home orders have been lifted such as Georgia, Texas, North Carolina and Ohio – all will operate on a limited timetable from 10am to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Further openings for curbside collection are planned for June, in the hope that stores can welcome customers again by mid-June.
THE WHY? Curbside collection offers another way to boost sales, serving those customers who like to browse. Bluemercury CEO Marla Malcolm Beck told WWD that clients would be able to try out new products or see shades IRL from the comfort of their cars.
