Boots to open concept store in London

Walgreens Boots Alliance’s UK drugstore chain Boots is set to open a concept store in London’s Covent Garden, according to a report published by The Guardian.

The new flagship, which will open this week, features a marble-tiled beauty hall stocked with some 300 popular brands, including Fenty Beauty, as well as an Instagram zone and YouTube studio.

The drugstore chain, which has recently announced that it will no longer offer shoppers plastic bags, will also boast a free-to-use tap, so customers can refill their water bottles on site.

“Our new Covent Garden store starts a journey of reinventing Boots for the future. The store is full of exciting beauty brands, ideas for living well and services to help you get better. We will learn what people want and love from this shop, and this will help us shape a blueprint for our whole 2,500-store estate,” Boots MD, Sebastian James told The Guardian.
