Cross-border e-commerce platform BuzzCommerce is hoping to raise SGD1 million in a funding round in order to launch its own brand of cosmetics aimed at the Chinese and Japanese markets, according to an exclusive report published by DealStreetAsia.
The round is expected to close before the year-end, with the Singapore-based online beauty platform’s CEO, Shinsuke Wakai, revealing that the products will be developed in Thailand, and sold in China and Japan – a move supported by the Thai government.
The first product is due to hit the market in August, with the range spanning three key categories, whitening products, slimming supplements and supplements for men.
