Cosmax has announced that it is the first Asian cosmetics manufacturer to gain Expertise Vegan Europe (EVE) certification – to testify that its products are animal-friendly, according to a report published by Pulse News.

The body requires both that products not be tested on animals and that they do not contain animal-derived ingredients, which extends to the packaging also.

“Demand for eco-friendly products like vegan and halal is increasing in the global cosmetics market,” Lee Kyung-soo, Coxmax Chairman and Chief Executive Officer told Pulse News. “We will continue to work hard to produce vegan and halal certified products to meet various needs of global consumers.
