Specialty chemicals supplier Celanese has completed the sale of its atmospheric emulsions unit to IQOXE. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Based in Tarragona, Spain, IQOXE specialises in the production of petrochemicals. Under the agreement, Celanese will continue to act as the channel to market for certain emulsions products.

Celanese has also announced the closure of is vinyl acetate-ethylene emulsions production in the region, after failing to find a buyer for the unit.
