THE WHAT? Chanel has appointed Stephane Blanchard as President of the U.S. region and Chanel Inc, effective 1st September, according to a report by WWD.com.
THE DETAILS Blanchard will report to Leena Nair, Global Chief Executive Officer of Chanel, and succeed John Galantic.
THE WHY? Galantic has left the company after 16 years in order to pursue external career opportunities, with Blanchard taking on the new role from his position as Managing Director of Chanel Korea.
His successor at Chanel Korea is yet to be named.
