Chanel appoints new Executive Vice President of Fragrance and Beauty

French beauty powerhouse Chanel has appointed Barbara Menarguez the new Executive Vice President of Fragrance and Beauty.

Menaguez succeeds Julien Gommichon, who stepped down from the position in December last year having been with the company for 14 years.

It is not Menaquez’s first encounter with the company, having worked as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Chanel’s New York operations, a position she held for over a decade.

The new role is a significant position in the company with Chanel being well placed in the global beauty and fragrance market thanks to strong brands such as the No5 fragrance.
