Chanel cements foothold in male beauty market with expansion of Boy de Chanel make-up line

THE WHAT? Chanel has announced the expansion of its Boy de Chanel make-up line, which first launched in 2018.

THE DETAILS The new items will include three new make-up and one skincare product, including a concealer, 3-in-1 eye pencil, and nail polish, as well as a fortifying moisturizing gel.

THE WHY? The male beauty game is seemingly ramping up of late, with Chanel’s announcement swiftly following the news that CVS is to add men’s beauty label Stryx to 2000 of its stores across the U.S.

What with Chanel stating that the new items are designed to hide imperfections and signs of fatigue, and Stryx also offering more subtle products for men, perhaps the ‘less-is-more’ attitude will push the market to new heights.
