Chanel opened a pop-up store in Los Angeles last week, which was described by Harpers Bazaar as the ‘world’s most Instagram-friendly’ space.
The Beauty House, Harpers Bazaar reports, was designed to celebrate the launch of the luxury beauty label’s user-generated Instagram account, @welovecoco. The space opened from March 1 through March 4 and was open to the public, with guests encouraged to sign up to a time slot or chance their hand with a walk-in.
The shop on Sunset Boulevard features VR installations, allowing users to try make up on in virtual reality or shoppers can go the old-fashioned route and slick on the brand’s Rouge Coco lip glosses IRL, although naturally you’ll be taking a selfie to display on the ‘lipstick wall’.
Further features include a swing made from Chanel’s iconic chains and a bathtub filled with pearls as well as quotations from the brand’s founder picked out in neon.
