China could be set to simplify the registration process for new cosmetic ingredients as it revises its primary chemical regulation, MEP Order 7, according to a report published by Chemical Watch.
The current registration process, which requires dual registration for new cosmetic ingredients with both the China Food and Drug Administration and under the MEP Order 7, could be simplified, with an exemption ushered in for those ingredients already registered with the FDA.
The potential updates were revealed at the AsiaHub Summit USA, held in San Francisco last week.
