Supermodel-turned-skincare entrepreneur Cindy Crawford is set to launch the Environmental Protecting Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen through her Meaningful Beauty line, with the product said to protect users against blue light emissions that come from digital gadgets.
The suncream is thought to be generating talk amongst tech-obsessed consumers regarding its claims to block blue light that comes from phones, tablets, laptops and TVs.
Due to be launched in Ulta stores from August 20, the sunscreen is targeting the premium market priced at $65, boasting claims to also protect from other environmental pollutants. However, there are conflicting reports regarding the detrimental effects of blue light. While some say it can cause skin damage, there are other reports stating it has no effect on the skin.
Crawford is set to launch three other products alongside the sunscreen; a serum, exfoliating masque and overnight crème.
