THE WHAT? Kirsten Kjaer Weis has announced that she is ending her association with her eponymous make-up brand. Kjaer Weis sold a majority stake to Waldencast Ventures in 2021. One of the pioneers of clean beauty, Kjaer Weis broadcast the news via Instagram.

THE DETAILS According to a report published by WWD, Waldencast said in a statement, “Kirsten Kjaer Weis has made the decision to part ways with Kjaer Weis. While Waldencast Ventures is an investor in Kjaer Weis, it is a completely separate entity from Waldencast plc, the public company. We wish Kirsten all the best in her future endeavors.”

THE WHY? Kjaer Weis did not elaborate on the reasons behind her departure on her Instagram post and did not respond to comment when contacted by WWD.
