CleanO2 launches body bar soap that transforms CO2 into pearl ash

THE WHAT? Alberta CleanTech company CleanO2 has launched a carbon capture body bar soap, which transforms CO2 in a bid to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

THE DETAILS The soaps contain the CarbinX small-scale carbon capture device, which transforms CO2, the greenhouse gas, into pearl ash, the ingredient in the CleanO2 soap bars.

THE WHY? Jaeson Cardiff, CEO, says, “CleanO2 is a company that’s sole purpose is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the heating industry. We’re capturing carbon, and we’re converting it into consumer goods.”

The company expects to launch further products later this year including shampoo and conditioner hair bars, as well as a range of cleaning detergents.
