THE WHAT? L’Oreal Paris has named Australian swimmer Cody Simpson as the latest face of its Men Expert range.

THE DETAILS Simpson noted on his Instagram account, “Being a swimmer in the chlorine for hours a day, I’m glad I have @lorealparis to keep my skin hydrated. Stoked to be in their Men Expert campaign for the new L’Oreal Paris Power Age Serum and Moisturiser.”

THE WHY? Simpson has attracted attention after being romantically linked to Miley Cyrus and boasts 5.1 million followers on Instagram. With sporting spokespeople a perennial favourite with men’s grooming brands, the additional media attention Simpson has garnered from his personal life is presumably a bonus for the French beauty behemoth.
