Conde Nast cancels Luxury Conference as Suzy Menkes steps down as Editor, Vogue International

THE WHAT? Conde Nast has announced that Suzy Menkes will step down from her role as Editor, Vogue International, effective October, according to a report published by Fashion United.

THE DETAILS As a result of Menkes resignation, the publisher has announced the cancellation of the 2020 Conde Nast Luxury Conference.

“As a result of Suzy’s departure, combined with the ongoing uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Condé Nast has regrettably taken the decision to cancel the Condé Nast Luxury Conference which was scheduled to take place in Vienna on 9th-10th December,” the publisher said in a statement posted on the conference website.

THE WHY? In an email to Business of Fashion, per Fashion United, Menkes said that the pandemic had given her pause for thought, resulting in her resignation and ‘a new adventure’.
