THE WHAT? Irish contract manufacturer, Cosmetic Creations is gearing up to expand its operations across Mayo and Cork, Ireland, after it received a €7.5 million cash injection from investors, according to a report published by the Irish Times.
THE DETAILS The company will double its workforce, bringing the total number of employees to 90. It has also announced a joint venture with Parnell Pharmaceuticals to develop, manufacture, market and distribute Parnell’s products across the European Union.
Some 60 of the jobs to be advertised will be across operations, supply chain, quality and formulation development, per the Irish Times, while the remainder are head office roles.
THE WHY? Cosmetic Creations is looking to expand into the health category. As CEO Aiden Corcoran told the Irish Times, “Our goal over the next five years will be to build on our current foundation in cosmetics and expand into the growing national pharmaceutical market to become a global life sciences brand.”
