THE WHAT? Cosmopolitan Middle East has unveiled its first male cover star as Jordanian make-up artist Mohammed Hindash. 

THE DETAILS Taking to its Instagram page to make the announcement, Cosmopolitan stated, “We interrupt your scheduled Sunday morning program to bring you our first EVER male cover star: Hindash. The Jordanian-artist-turned-make-up-connoisseur knows a woman’s face better than she does – and we aren’t mad ‘bout it. Oh, and did we mention that it’s our 100th issue? Yeah, no biggie. Hindash works with a slew of celebrities such as Rihanna and Naomi Campbell and was named Esquire’s Best-Dressed Men in the region in 2018.

THE WHY? Growing up in Dubai, Hindash was one of the first YouTube influencers geared towards educating women on make-up and now boasts 1 million followers on Instagram and has racked up 48 million views on YouTube.

The make-up artist was said to have been chosen for the cover due to being “synonymous with make-up, beauty, and making women feel confident.”
