Coty has appointed fast-moving consumer goods executive Elio Leoni Sceti as Chief Executive Officer, effective from July 1.
Bart Becht, Coty’s current interim CEO and Chairman, will remain Chairman following the transition.
Leoni Sceti will join Coty from his role as CEO at frozen goods company Iglo Group, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s growth by reinvigorating core brands such Birds Eye, Iglo and Findus. Under his leadership, Iglo captained an industry redefining Corporate Social Responsibility program, centered on the benefit of freezing to reduce food waste.
Prior to his role at Iglo Group, Leoni Sceti served as CEO of EMI Music. He has also held roles at Procter & Gamble and Reckitt Benckiser, where he oversaw the North American, European and Global Categories.
As CEO of Coty, Leoni Sceti will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the company’s portfolio of leading brands in the fragrances, colour cosmetics and skin and body care categories, which are sold in more than 130 countries and territories. Coty’s product offerings include such global brands as adidas, Calvin Klein, Chloé, DAVIDOFF, Marc Jacobs, OPI, philosophy, Playboy, Rimmel and Sally Hansen.
