Coty poaches Chief Marketing Officer from Burberry for new Luxury division

Coty has appointed a Chief Marketing Officer for its new Luxury division, according to a report published by WWD. Simona Cattaneo, Senior Vice President of Beauty at Burberry, will join the US cosmetics giant this summer.

The new Luxury arm, created in anticipation of Coty’s acquisition of the P&G portfolio, will be headed up by Edgar Huber, who will take on the role of President. Cattaneo will be based in Paris.

“Simona understands very well how to manage the relationship with our licensing partners because she comes from a beauty / luxury, apparel-brand background,” Huber told WWD. “Simona will bring to the organization a very sophisticated sense in terms of product development, she has an extremely proven record in terms of innovation.”

Cattaneo joined Burberry in 2012 from Dior. Prior to that, she was employed by L’Oréal, where she worked on Kérastase.
