THE WHAT? British specialty chemicals company Croda has acquired French beauty ingredient supplier Alban Muller in a €25m deal.
THE DETAILS Alban Muller specialises in creating and suppling natural ingredients within the personal care market and reported annual revenue of €18m in the year ending 30 June 2020.
Croda also announced its FY results to 31 December 2020, with core business sales of £1.29bn, rising from £1.27bn the previous year. Adjusted pre-tax profit fell from £322.1m to £300.6m.
THE WHY? The acquisition is said to expand Croda’s current portfolio of sustainable active ingredients in the personal care markets.
