Owing to greater demand, Royal DSM has announced that it will increase the capacity at its Hoek van Holland site in the Netherlands for the production of its Somos UV-curable additive manufacturing materials. The investment reflects the growth of the 3D printing industry.
“Expansion of the current production footprint will include new state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing equipment,” said Bastiaan van Wieringen, Site Manager Hoek van Holland. “We have over 30 years of experience at this site producing high-quality, UV-curable products and look forward to supporting the Somos business and their growth objectives.”
“We are thrilled with the growth experienced by our customers and the industry,” added Melissa Lutz, Business Director Somos. “This investment allows us to have more capacity available to grow with them and to enable new opportunities in the world of 3D printing.”
