THE WHAT? Dermalogica has launched a new online course aimed at skincare professionals, named Meaningful Connections, which looks to strengthen Emotional Intelligence (EI), according to American Salon.
THE DETAILS The course has been developed in partnership with Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley and aims to boost client communication based on scientific principles of happiness and connection.
THE WHY? Working to bolster the salon industry during the pandemic outbreak, the course is a follow up to Dermalogica’s Clean Touch Certification that outlined safety and sanitization protocols during COVID-19.
As consumers filter back to spas and salons following vaccination rollouts, the company has anticipated the rise in demand for increased training in safety procedures as well as the need for better emotional intelligence to connect to clients.
