A Massachusetts Superior Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by P&G-owned Gillette against razor start-up ShaveLogic due to lack of evidence, according to a report published by Fox Business.
P&G accused four former employees of taking company information to the start-up. However, the move has backfired, with Justice Kenneth Salinger allowing a countersuit by the ex-workers and ShaveLogic to proceed.
Delivering his verdict, Salinger accused the US FMCG giant of deliberately bringing ‘baseless claims in an attempt to bully ShaveLogic out of the market’.
A spokeswoman for P&G said that the company was disappointed with the verdict and was considering a range of legal options.
