Rihanna has released a video campaign to introduce her new cosmetics range, Fenty Beauty, according to a report published by Step Feed.
The campaign features 15 models from diverse backgrounds, including Halima Aden, a hijab-wearing Somali-American, and plus-size model Paloma Elsesser. Fans are already raving about the line on social media, with several hailing the Barbadian singer for her focus on diversity and predicting that the line will cater extensively for women of color. The brand’s tagline, The New Generation of Beauty’, together with a hashtag that accompanies the campaign, #shadenames appears has prompted much speculation.
Fenty Beauty is due to hit shelves in Sephora and Harvey Nichols on September 8.
