Dove, Walmart and Big Brothers Big Sisters Launch Back-to-School Confidence Campaign

THE WHAT? Dove, Walmart, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) have launched a multi-year back-to-school partnership aimed at fostering youth confidence and mentorship through community events at select Walmart stores.

THE DETAILS The initiative kicks off August 1 in Bentonville, Arkansas, as part of a nationwide series of in-store and community events designed to empower young people ahead of the new school year. Activities include mentorship meet-and-greets with local Bigs and Littles, a “Picture Your Potential” photo experience, a Vision Wall for students to share goals, and appearances by on-site influencers acting as “Confidence Coaches.” Attendees will also receive Dove and Dove Men+Care product samples along with self-esteem resources. Walmart’s nationwide presence provides a community platform, while Dove builds on its global Self-Esteem Project, which has reached over 130 million young people, and BBBSA brings more than 120 years of mentoring expertise.

THE WHY? The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to boosting student confidence and supporting positive youth development. By combining Dove’s self-esteem mission, Walmart’s community reach, and BBBSA’s mentorship network, the partners aim to create meaningful connections that help young people feel seen, supported, and prepared for the school year.
