Dua Lipa files trademark for cosmetics and fashion; set to create lifestyle brand?

THE WHAT Dua Lipa has filed trademarks for hundreds of merchandise, including cosmetics and clothes.

THE WHY The singer has filed the trademark to the UK Intellection Property Office via her new magazine Service95, which is set to offer fans tips on make-up, fashion and where to eat.

The application was filed by Mischon de Reya, the London firm that handled Princess Diana’s divorce.

THE DETAILS Lipa is rumoured to be looking to create a lifestyle brand akin to Gywneth Paltrow’s Goop and Kourtney Kardashian’s Poosh.

Talking to Vogue, Lipa said, “All my friends and family, wherever they travel in the world – even if they’re just there for one night – they’ll text me to ask what they should do. I’m their go-to person for recommendations.

“I’ve dreamed about this for so long. It’s a massive hobby of mine. I’ve always compulsively made lists of everything – my favourite places to eat, my favourite places to stay. “Honestly, if I were to show you the Notes app on my phone right now…”
