Dubai Duty Free clocks up sales of Dh21.23 million each day

Travelers passing through Dubai are spending some Dh21.23 million every day, according to a report published by Gulf News.

Dubai Duty Free saw sales grow 11 percent over the first quarter of the current financial year, reaching Dh1.91 billion. March was a particular highlight with sales up 10 percent on 2017 figures, reaching a heady Dh660.36 million.

“We are very pleased with the first quarter of the year sales and are focused on reaching our targets for the year,” said Colm McLoughlin, CEO and Executive Vice Chairman of Dubai Duty Free.

“Sales are ahead of passenger numbers at Dubai International Airport and we are seeing double-digit growth across a wide number of categories.”
