Dufry bags Recife duty-free contract for a further 8 years

THE WHAT? Dufry has announced that it has won the tender for the duty-free and duty-paid concessions at Brazil’s Recife International Airport for eight years.

THE DETAILS The airport welcomes some 9 million passengers per year and operates both domestic and international flights round the clock.

The new contract expires in November, 2029 and includes the creation of four new store layouts covering a total of 1,374 m2.

THE WHY? Gustavo Fagundes, Chief Operating Officer for South America, explains, “We are very proud to be able to continue our long-standing and successful collaboration with Recife International Airport and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners at Aena for their renewed trust. Our continued close collaboration will help us deliver a further improved shopping experience to almost 9 million passengers that visit the airport each year.”
