Elemis announces leadership reshuffle

THE WHAT? Elemis has announced a leadership reshuffle, with Noella Gabriel being promoted to Global President and Oriele Frank to Chief Product and Sustainability Officer, effective immediately. Sean Harrington, CEO, has joined the Board of L’Occitane International.

THE DETAILS Gabriel has most recently headed up Elemis USA, and has been acknowledged for her successful growth and digital-first strategy ‘through the transition in ownership and subsequent record period of growth.’

In her new role Gabriel will be overseeing the USA, UK & EMEA directly through her management team as well as contributing strategically and operationally to the business performance across Asiapac.

According to a press release, “As the pandemic evolved globally Noella’s drive, passion and leadership has been successfully leveraged across the business worldwide providing Elemis with an unprecedented performance in growth and profitability during the world’s toughest crisis.”

Taking on the position of Chief Product and Sustainability Officer, Frank will be tasked with focusing on three key areas – product, people and planet. Responsible for global product development, she will be ‘pioneering the roadmap for major innovation in sustainable packaging and reducing carbon emissions across the whole company.’

THE WHY? As the pandemic continues to grip the world, beauty and personal care companies are rapidly assessing their corporate structure, with many scrabbling to ensure a focus on performance as well as sustainability accountability.

Discussing the company’s education during the GVC, Gabriel said, “2020 has been a rollercoaster of a year. As a brand over the past 7 months we have had to pivot all our learnings from the last 30 years into transforming and future-proofing ELEMIS through a laser focused digital first innovation with agility. There are many different strategies during global crisis, we have found opportunities to really accelerate our global initiatives to ensure ELEMIS becomes stronger and ahead of the curve.”
