Elizabeth Arden has announced the acquisition of in-office beauty and grooming service Manicube. No financial terms were disclosed about the sale. The acquisition is said to be the first of many changes Red Door Spa is set to introduce over the coming year.
Manicube, founded three years ago by Katerina Mountanos and Elizabeth R. Whitman, provides nail services in corporate offices while also attending corporate parties and client gifting in the company’s core markets of New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and Boston.
The company is said to be aligned with Red Door Spa’s strategy and also now includes men’s barbering. Todd Walter, CEO of Red Door Spa Holdings, said, “With Manicube, Red Door Spa is redefining beauty and wellness experiences. Together we are creating a new model and standard for the industry, employing top trained and licensed technicians to service consumers at their convenience, when and where they work, or at the spa.” Manicube will continue to serve its current clients, but will branch out into new markets following the merger with Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Katina Mountanos, Co-Founder and CEO of Manicube, said, “We are ecstatic that Manicube is joining Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.
It’s the perfect match, bringing together the leader in convenient in-office beauty services with the world’s authority in guest service, and beauty and wellness treatments. Our two companies share a vision to provide clients with exceptional service, top quality products, and beauty and grooming solutions that are adapted to today’s consumers’ needs. We anticipate the power of the Red Door brand will help us accelerate Manicube’s growth in additional corporate and group event channels.”
