Boots has appointed Ogilvy to lead on its £80 million UK creative account, ending a 13-year relationship with independent agency Mother, according to a report published by Campaign.
The move is part of a global decision made by parent Walgreens Boots Alliance to shift all creative, media and communications to WPP.
“We’re pleased to announce that as part of the new Walgreens Boots Alliance partnership with WPP, Boots UK will begin working with Ogilvy as our creative agency,” said Elizabeth Fagan, Walgreens Boots Alliance Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Boots UK & Ireland. “I would like to personally thank our incumbent creative agency, Mother, with whom Boots and I have had a very successful and enjoyable relationship for many years.”
