Estée Lauder boosts leadership for fast-growing fragrance unit and Asia-Pacific region

The Estée Lauder Companies has announced a series of leadership appointments in two fast-growing areas of its business: prestige and artisanal fragrances, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Effective January 1, 2018, Fabrice Weber will be President, Prestige and Artisanal Fragrances and ELC Ventures, while Daniel Annese, Global Brand President, Aramis and Designer Fragrances will take on a special assignment supporting the growth of Smashbox, Glamglow and Becca, before his retirement in January, 2019. Patrice Beliard will therefore step up to Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, reporting to Weber and joining the Extended Executive Leadership Team.

In Asia-Pacific, Mark Loomis has been appointed President for the region, while Joy Fan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, General Manager, China, and Christopher Wood has been named Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific.

“Our company has experienced outstanding success developing multiple engines of growth across our categories, channels and geographies,” said Fabrizio Freda, President and CEO. “Our fragrance portfolio and our business in Asia/Pacific, primarily fuelled by China, continue to generate impressive growth. I am thrilled to appoint a diverse group of seasoned global leaders who embrace creativity, innovation and a digital-first mindset to lead these engines of growth for the company.”
