Estée Lauder Chairman William Lauder settles lawsuit with ex-mistress

THE WHAT? Estée Lauder Chairman William Lauder has settled a lawsuit with his ex-mistress Taylor Stein over a US$7 million Bel Air mansion.

THE DETAILS Lauder stated that he no longer had to make annual payments on the mansion due to Stein having broken a confidentiality agreement.

The legal battle began in 2018 when Lauder ceased making payments due to an Instagram post by the couple’s daughter that was alleged to breach the agreement.

Stein brought a suit against the cosmetics executive, with Lauder counter-suing to state he was exempt from payments.

THE WHY? Details of the suit have not been disclosed, with it being unclear whether Stein will remain in the mansion.
