Estée Lauder Companies’ La Mer appoints SK-II exec as Senior Vice President

THE WHAT? Estée Lauder Companies has appointed a SK-II exec YoeGin Chang as Senior Vice President of its La Mer brand, according to a report by Marketing Interactive. 

THE DETAILS Joining the company from her role as Senior Brand Director of SK-II, Chang has more than 12 years’ experience in consumer goods and has worked with consumers across ASEAN, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and the U.S. 

SK-II has yet to name a successor, however Markus Strobel, P&G’s President of global skin and personal care, will take on the role in the interim. 

THE WHY? While ELC is yet to comment on the appointment, SK-II gave a statement about the future of the role. 

A spokesperson said, “We look forward to continuing the strong growth as a leading global prestige skincare brand.”
