Eucerin launches first medical sunscreen with SPF100

Eucerin launches first medical sunscreen with SPF100

THE WHAT? Beiersdorf-owned Eucerin is expanding its sun protection portfolio with a brand-first – a medical sunscreen said to help prevent actinic keratosis and non-melanoma skin cancer.

THE DETAILS Despite offering high protection, the product is said to be fluid, with a non-greasy, readily absorbed and light texture. The launch will be supported by a global campaign in which a actinic keratosis sufferer shares his experience of diagnosis and living with the condition.

THE WHY? Dr. Gitta Neufang, Chief Innovation and Medical Officer at the dermocosmetics brand, explains, “The highly effective combination of high UVA/UVB protection and broad-spectrum filters offers our consumers maximum sun protection. As intensive protection is important in particular for skin, which is already damaged, we also tested its skin tolerance on patients with skin which is sensitive to the sun and with actinic keratosis.”
