Fashion Group Hyungji acquires global beauty products license for Castelbajac

THE WHAT? The owner of the Castelbajac fashion label, Fashion Group Hyungii has announced that it has also bought the global trademark for the marque’s beauty offer from Sodip, according to a report published by Pulse News.

THE DETAILS Fashion Group Hyungii acquired the fashion arm of the Castelbajac business from its eponymous Founder in 2016 but the beauty business remained separate. Now, the Korean firm has teamed up with K-beauty brand developer Enhance B and unveil its first line next year.

Products are expected to include cooling masks and mists as well as sun care. Sodip has retained the fragrance licence.

THE WHY? Fashion Group Hyungji is looking to develop of the Castelbajac brand as a global lifestyle brand, and the new cosmetics line is part and parcel of this evolution. If the brand’s L’Occitane collab is anything to go by, a Castelbajac beauty line could positively fly off the shelves.
